About this place The City Sauna Club

The City Sauna is Bergamo's only gay sauna, men only, at Via della Clementina 8, east of the centre. ARCO lists it as a club founded in 1990, and entry requires an ARCO membership card. It runs over three floors: the basement has two Finnish saunas, a steam bath, a large hydromassage tub and a counter-current pool, and upstairs there is a bar lounge, a relaxation room, a labyrinth and private cabins. It is open 13:00 to 21:00 and closed on Tuesday. Neither ARCO nor the club publishes prices, so call ahead (+39 035 240418). The Google rating is middling, 3.5 from about 60 reviews, and the club says it has recently been renovated.

Bergamo's one and only sauna. From 1989 to today! I'm younger, and I've been going there more or less regularly (depending on the season) for "only" 15 years. And for all the sad people who leave an unjustified star, remember: "You don't spit in the plate you eat from"... Meow meow

A lovely afternoon at this very clean and spacious sauna. The changing rooms are large and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and polite, and the clientele is diverse and enthusiastic. A truly beautiful, safe, and satisfying place.

This facility is constantly being renovated: in recent weeks, they've also reopened the second pool. The atmosphere is convivial and friendly, the aperitif is delicious, and the facility is clean and well-maintained. Prices are competitive, even compared to the aperitif they offer!

Okay, you've been open since the 1990s and there have been some problems since October 2020, but I preferred the previous management and the previous layout of the premises. As of now, and luckily I got a season ticket so I saved money, you're no longer up to par. Today, Sunday, January 11, 2026, I found, as usual in recent months, a certain crowd of people who know each other and don't socialize with others, so I left "empty." I'll try changing the day to see if the crowd on Saturdays is more stimulating. To be honest, it seems like it's a stroke of luck to find the right crowd. In early September, there was a really "good" Sunday, but in October and November, practically zero. I preferred not to in December. Let's just say you could improve, so you deserve it. As of now, one star. Best wishes for the upcoming essential improvements.
