Hotel Cosmopolitan Bologna

They gave me a dusty room with the window left open, right during allergy season. It was also tiny for a room intended for wheelchair users. I don't have this problem, but if I had, it would have been unusable. Not only that, but the drains were all clogged, and they made me wait in the lobby even though there were other rooms available. I didn't complain and waited, then they gave me another room, which this time was decent. When I called them the next day to stay another night, they invent higher prices than those on Booking. I pointed this out very politely, but despite the brief exchange, they replied in a completely exasperated tone that that was the price. Afterwards, I said goodbye and the phone hung up on me. The staff were clearly unhappy with their job.

The hotel is very good, the staff very attentive, the rooms very nice.

Very large and clean room. The mattress was quite hard. I woke up with back pain. That's why I gave the rooms 2 points. The breakfast buffet was extensive and varied, but unfortunately the desserts weren't fresh from the day's supply and didn't even seem like they were made yesterday.

The hotel looks fine otherwise, and the room itself is okay too, but we really had a terrible experience here. The bathroom was not very clean. The bathtub, in particular, was quite dirty. On day 2, the bubble system of the bath short-circuited. Life-threatening! Fortunately, we were given another room immediately. So that was handled well. We stayed here for 3 nights, but barely slept during these 3 nights. Car alarms going off in the parking lot, hotel guests screaming in the hallway at 2:00 AM. In the room next to ours, someone watched 2.5 hours of television at volume 100+ at 1:30 AM. Breakfast was included, but it is very mediocre. Very little choice. What is available is tasty, though. The staff was friendly, so nothing to complain about there, but unfortunately, we will not be returning to this hotel.
