Beautiful quality hotel. Lovingly cared for. Excellent caring staff, friendly atmosphere..Rooms nicely decorated airy and comfortable. My friend had her passport stolen in Florence and it was very traumatic. The Manager and his staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating.
The photos on this hotel's website bear little resemblance to the room we were actually given. What was advertised appeared to be a comfortable, well-appointed 4-star property. What we received was room 101: two single beds crammed into a space barely larger than a prison cell, virtually no decor, tired furnishings, and an overall condition that felt closer to a budget 2-star hotel than a 4-star property. The experience felt like a classic bait-and-switch. Had the room been accurately represented online, we never would have booked this hotel in the first place. To make matters worse, room 101 (along with rooms 102-105, according to other reviews) faces the street. Our room had the hotel's illuminated sign directly outside the window, yet there were no proper blackout shades. Between the noise, light, and depressing condition of the room, it was simply not a place where we wanted to spend multiple nights. The room was also not clean to an acceptable standard, with several issues that are clearly visible in the photos. For a property claiming a 4-star rating, the condition of the room was frankly shocking. To be fair, the front desk staff did attempt to help and offered to move us, but we were told the hotel was fully booked. Whether a better room was actually available, I cannot say. By that point, however, our confidence in the property was gone. We decided to cut our losses, leave, and book elsewhere. My advice to anyone considering this hotel: if you choose to stay here, absolutely do not accept room 101, and think carefully before accepting any room on that side of the building. You may get lucky and receive one of the rooms shown in the marketing photos. We did not. This was easily the most disappointing hotel experience of our trip to Italy and a terrible introduction to Bologna. I genuinely do not understand how this property maintains a 4-star rating.
Very nice room and location. A bit expensive for what you get though as there's no fridge, and we couldn't get any stations on the satellite TV. Good breakfast and lovely courtyard. Staff are very friendly and attentive.
The owner is very kind and friendly...the coffee is excellent and the orange juice is plentiful 🍊
Great staff, great neighborhood
