Toscana Pride
About This Event
Toscana Pride is Tuscany's regional Pride march, and it doesn't happen in Florence every year. Since 2016 it has moved to a different Tuscan city each June, chosen by the Comitato Toscana Pride. Check the host city before you book.
The format stays the same wherever it goes. It's a single Saturday-afternoon corteo with floats, sound systems and contingents from Arcigay groups, unions and local associations, ending at a park or square with speeches and a party. It is free, and regional trains from Florence are usually the simplest way to reach whichever city hosts.
The 2026 march took place in Grosseto on Saturday, June 13, the city's first Pride in 22 years. It gathered at Piazza Esperanto at 4pm and ended at Parco Pertini, under the manifesto line "Dai margini irrompiamo, ovunque resistiamo". GoNews put the crowd at about 15,000, and MP Laura Boldrini and Arcigay's national president Natascia Maesi spoke. The year before, Prato hosted on June 21, 2025, and The Florentine reported about 30,000 people.
The 2027 host city and date hadn't been announced when we checked. It is usually held on a Saturday in mid-June.
