About this place Blue Daisy

Blue Daisy sits a few doors from Mono on Via Lecco and offers a different register: brighter, louder and deliberately festive. The walls rotate through exhibition-quality queer art every six weeks, making the bar a genuine cultural space rather than just a venue. The cocktail list is Milan-playful — seasonal ingredients, unexpected combinations — and the prices are competitive for the neighbourhood. DJs play on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 21:00. The bar's stated ethos is radical inclusivity: trans-friendly, non-binary-friendly, drag nights on selected Sundays. It functions as a first-night option for LGBTQ+ tourists who want a social, English-speaking environment without the intensity of a club. Blue Daisy is open daily from 18:00 — one of the few Porta Venezia gay bars that maintains seven-day opening hours with full staffing.

I had a very positive experience at this bar. The waiters are always kind, welcoming, and helpful, and they make everyone feel at ease. What struck me most was their honesty and fairness, especially towards teenagers, which is not always a given. You can tell they work with professionalism and respect for their customers. A place I'd happily recommend and will definitely return to.

I went with a friend for coffee and, politely (or at least I thought so), we were asked which biscuit we'd prefer with our coffee. Both my friend and I immediately assumed it was included with the coffee. Instead, we were charged for it. I know things have to be paid for, but the unpleasant thing was the way it was presented; it looked like a gift, but it wasn't. Furthermore, the laughter among the waiters while we were ordering and the exchange of unpleasant jokes were not pleasant. We won't be returning.

Simply disgusting, the bald waiter is very rude and pushy.

Beautiful place, friendly staff, perfect for breakfast, lunch, or an aperitif with friends.
