About this place Sui Generis

Sui Generis is a gay bar on Via Panfilo Castaldi, the street at the centre of Porta Venezia, which is where most of Milan's LGBTQ+ bars sit within a few blocks of each other. It works as an early-evening place: cocktails, the Milanese aperitivo with food put out alongside drinks, and a mixed, mostly local crowd that stays to talk rather than dance. It rates 4.6 on Google from about 445 reviews, with staff often named in them. Aperitivo hour, roughly 18:30 to 21:00, is the time to come, and it makes an easy first stop before moving on to the bigger venues in the area. We have no confirmed hours, so check before a late visit.
