It's a very good hostel for the price. The staff makes a big difference. We stayed there twice and had very pleasant staff who treated us with the utmost care. One time, they upgraded us to a larger room instead of a small one. There's a kitchen and a common room where you can make tea or coffee, and there's free fruit and cream in your coffee. There's a courtyard with parking, €7 per night, a very good price. There are several chairs/swings and a table for sitting in the courtyard, and they turn on the lanterns in the evening. It was quiet and peaceful. You have to use a code to get in everywhere. On the downside, the restrooms and showers aren't the cleanest. They're clean and well-washed, but they're a bit worn. In some places, you can see the beginnings of mold under the ceiling, and one restroom smelled strongly of sewage. If you just need a place to sleep, it's great. If you're staying for a few days, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

My teenage son and I had a very comfortable stay at Central Hostel. The hostel was exceptionally clean, quiet, and well maintained. Its location is excellent—within walking distance of the Old Town, railway station, bus station, and Vērmanes Garden. Although check-in normally closes at 9 PM, the staff kindly accommodated our late arrival request, which we greatly appreciated. A special thank you to Paula, who was very helpful, friendly, and welcoming. We truly appreciated her assistance. I would happily recommend Central Hostel to anyone visiting Riga and would gladly stay here again.

This hostel offers decent value for money. It has a kitchen and shared spaces, and the price isn't too high. It's conveniently located near the train and bus stations, and there's a large shopping mall nearby. However, some rooms are right next to a main road, so there's some car noise. The beds aren't very comfortable, and the Wi-Fi isn't very stable, but considering the price, it's acceptable. Additionally, each room has a name using place names from different parts of Latvia, which is quite unique. There are also maps and pins for guests to mark their origin, a typical hostel feature. Overall, I would recommend it!
