One of the biggest disappointments during my stay was the complete lack of soundproofing. Noise from outside was clearly audible in the room and repeatedly disturbed my rest. And most people pay for a hotel to sleep there :) Guests should be aware that if a quiet room is important to them, this hotel may not meet their expectations! I also found the communication regarding the hotel's cleaning policy to be unclear, as no information was provided proactively upon check-in. What concerned me most, however, was the way my feedback was handled. When I raised the issue of the noise and lack of soundproofing with reception, I did not receive any empathy or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. Instead, my concern was met with laughter and the remark that the situation would be even worse over the weekend. Rather than trying to understand or address the issue, the response came across as dismissive, rude and unprofessional. Problems can occur at any hotel, but how staff respond to guest concerns often makes the difference. Unfortunately, in this case, the reaction left me feeling that guest comfort and feedback were not taken seriously. Taking into account that many guests complained about extreme noise, i do believe the hotel should have acted on it! Instead their usual reply is: "it is city center, we cannt control what is happening outside".. I strongly DO believe that a hotel that takes customer satisfaction seriously, the rooms that face the main street would have been sound proof. My complaint relates to the noise i can hear INSIDE the hotel! There are soundproofing curtains, windows that cost less than half of the price the hotel charges for one night per room... I do believe that if i had a room facing the inner part of the building, my feedback would have been different...but the way most of the staff (except one, which i have to recognize) handle the feedback was the worst. I do have to admit that we were offered a free upgrade on the upper floor, with allegedly less noise (which i appreciate, and it was the most adequate staff member that i interacted with), but i honestly didnt feel too much difference! Even from the higher floor i could hear the noise from the street. So decided not to trade six of one for half a dozen of the other.. The hotel should invest in soundproofing the rooms that face the main street! Also staff needs to be trained! Feedback needs to be handled with respect and empathy, expecially when it is the hotel's fault, instead of shifting the blame on customers

A good hotel near the old town. Our tour started and ended here. The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. Parking is right in front of the hotel and can be paid for at the hotel.
