Dreamlike
We very much enjoyed our stay. For us it was quiet and sleep was easy. The shower was well up to date with plentiful hot water and water pressure. Despite it being chilly outside, our room was nice and warm. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, and the staff are all very kind and welcoming. It has a historic European style with antique type furniture decorations, and it feels like you’ve gone back in time to a lavish hotel. Quite a treat! We will stay here again next time we visit Luxembourg.
The overall cleanliness was very disappointing as this room is very old. The headboard area was dirty, and the sofa in the room was also visibly dirty. The bathroom was even worse. I let the water run for about five minutes and still could not get hot water. When I tried to run some water in the bathtub, dirty water and debris appeared almost immediately, which was truly disgusting and completely unacceptable. I hope the hotel seriously improves its cleanliness, maintenance, and basic facilities. There are many four-star hotels in the world that do a much better job. Also, when responding to negative reviews, repeatedly emphasizing that this is an “iconic four-star hotel in the city center” does not solve the real problems. It may be better to focus less on reputation and more on actual guest experience. The good way is I’m satisfied with the breakfast and the location is good ( a little bit noisy at night).
A beautiful hotel with the charm of a true grand hotel. Very centrally located, very friendly staff, but the truly special extra is: Many little extras that are no longer found in today's mass-market hotels. For example, the carpet in the elevator displays the days of the week and is changed daily, right? There's also a shoe shine service. On the ground floor, there's a well-stocked, cozy bar where you can meet up in the evening. We were a group of 20 people and felt very comfortable.
