Grand Hotel Cravat

This hotel immerses you in an atmosphere steeped in memories, with a touch of old-world elegance that is both exhilarating and soothing. I appreciated everything during this (too) short stay: the warm and highly professional welcome from all the staff, the location in the heart of Luxembourg, the exemplary cleanliness of the room and bathroom (newly renovated), the access to the balcony (5th floor), the amenities, the bedding, the thoughtful touches, the comfort, and the tranquility. The breakfast buffet is very varied and of high quality. In the evening, the ambiance of the bar invites you to relax and enjoy a final drink before taking the elevator, with its copper and wood interior, which was put into service in 1945 and serves as a symbol of the passage of time in this magnificent hotel with its timeless charm.

Great old 1930s hotel still retaining dome original features, buffet breakfast excellent. Bar and bar staff very good.

Woken up by loud and continual drilling just before 9am, carried on until half 10. We have been to front desk to ask if it could wait and were told re-decorating was an "emergency". Staff rude and dismissive.

Superb hotel with lots of charm, spacious room and idyllic location close to all the monuments!!

Beautiful location, if you are lucky, you have a nice view in Luxembourg centre from the balcony. There are a lot of options for breakfast. There is something for everyone. If you arrive, someone will offer you coffee, just the way you like it. Highly recommend this hotel!

Great location, tired rooms

Gorgeous, grand, stately hotel within walking distance of many important attractions: Ducal Palace, Notre Dame cathedral, both the Bock and Petrusse Casemates, and Chemin de la Corniche. Also very close to lots of cafes and restaurants. We got the impression that the hotel is used to hosting dignitaries and other guests of note, as the staff seemed very concerned with having everything just so (although it was clear that some guests received more positive attention than others). Our room was breathtaking: large and airy, high ceilings, nearly floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Constitution monument, extra touches like slippers and bathrobes. Definitely a top hotel, and the location couldn't be better. One really fun and funky aspect was the elevator to our room: you entered in one door, but then exited by a door 90 degrees from the entry point, not on the same or opposite side.
