Auberge Du Bonheur
Visitors frequently praise the beautiful, peaceful location surrounded by woods and the excellent food and service. However, some guests found the rooms lacked personal touches and one reviewer mentioned that noise from events like weddings detracted from the ambiance.

A beautiful setting for hikers and cyclists where, in addition to an excellent overnight stay, you can also enjoy a delicious culinary dinner. A fantastic team that always gives us a warm welcome. An extensive dinner with delicious wines; the menu changes regularly and the wines come from all countries in Europe as well as beyond. Many local products are used, from "the seed to the chop," which is a wonderful initiative to work in an increasingly "greener" way. We are already looking forward to the next dinner!
Rooms are spacious and very clean. Very friendly and helpful reception. The hotel's location is fantastic.
Dinner was very disappointing, I hadn't expected that.
We thought we were just going to have an ice cream on the terrace. The waitress emphasized several times that individual scoops of ice cream were not sold—which we hadn't asked for anyway. So.....? After repeated insistence, we *did* receive the drinks menu and the food menu... this was already a remarkably difficult process. (Was it because of our well-behaved, non-barking dog? Were we too shabby? Flip-flops? We wondered...) We ordered 2 drinks, table water, and two ice creams. A tiny glass of non-alcoholic drink (8.50) was poured with great care (or perhaps a lot of fuss). Unfortunately, there was no attention paid to mundane matters such as the requested bottle of table water (which never arrived), spoons for the ice cream (please don't provide them when the ice cream is already there), or the requested straw (which never came). The empty coupes and glasses also remained on the table. There was also no ice cube/cooler for the bottle of water in this weather. It certainly wasn't busy.... Unfortunately, the bill turned out to be incorrect. All in all, we felt it came across as rather pretentious. We would have preferred to see the basics in order. Think of classics like "never go to the kitchen empty-handed." Still, it is a beautiful place, and what arrived was tasty. And getting annoyed is fun too. And writing something anyway, so perhaps it will serve a purpose. We can come back in a while to see if it helped!
An absolutely beautiful hotel very close to Tilburg University. Pleasant rooms with views onto lots of green, with an incredible restaurant, all managed by a friendly, professional and helpful team. Highly, highly recommended.
We were treated incredibly well by the staff at our friend's wedding this weekend, and everything was absolutely perfect in terms of location, food, drinks... highly recommended. Top-notch!
