We waited ages for our food. When it finally arrived, it was of very poor quality and definitely not worth the very high prices. The service was friendly but not particularly competent. However, the location in Oslo's market hall was nice.

Super good tasty moose. Portions could be a bit bigger especially sides, since it is a bit little for a full meal.

No whale for lunch.

A small but delightful place. Despite being in a market, it has its own unique feel. A great place to try Nordic game meats like venison, elk, reindeer, and more! Definitely worth a try!

Helt Vilt is one of those places that completely defies expectations. Don’t let the fact that it’s located in a food hall fool you—this is elevated cuisine without any of the stuffiness or pretentious attitude you sometimes find at more upscale restaurants. The food is thoughtfully prepared, beautifully plated, and absolutely delicious, while the atmosphere remains relaxed and welcoming. The service was another highlight of our experience. Our server was attentive and friendly. We never felt rushed, and it was the kind of service that makes you feel taken care of without hovering over you. And then there’s the food. We had the opportunity to try both reindeer and kangaroo, and both were fantastic. The meats tasted genuine and high quality, with the natural flavors of each cut really coming through. The reindeer was especially memorable—tender, flavorful, and distinctly different from the meats you typically find on a restaurant menu. The kangaroo was equally impressive, with a rich, unique flavor and beautifully prepared texture. Every element on the plate seemed intentional. The presentation was beautiful without being overly fussy, and the flavors worked together incredibly well. You can tell that the focus is on showcasing quality ingredients and letting them speak for themselves. 100/10... would definitely fo back!

So so so so SO amazing food! A gorgeous little hole in the wall and worth every penny. They fit us in even though we didn't have a reservation. We had been trying to come for 3 years before that so it meant so much to us that they let us eat even without the reservation. I would eat every meal here if I could. Absolute perfection.

Divine food, cozy interior, excellent service and staff.

It's very good, friendly, and sometimes seems quite crowded (maybe consider booking). I also recommend the local beer (bottled).

Go straight with moose 🫎 burger with brown cheese, local taste will blow your mind.
