Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Old Town

A very nice place with excellent staff

Very nice hotel in old town. It is in such a great location, and short walk to many attractions and restaurants. Pretty quiet considering it is centrally located. Rooms and staff were always very nice.

Absolutely beautiful hotel right in the heart of old town! You couldn’t be in a better location for food and nightlife. Everything worth seeing is walking distance from the hotel. The staff is very attentive and courteous. We had wonderful interactions with Alexandra and appreciate her help during our stay.

I loved staying here; the rooms are a better quality than most Hilton Garden Inns, with a clean modern design. The staff, especially one named Bianca, was very friendly and cooperative. Great location to walk around. My daughter even drew a face in their lobby couch.

Perfect location, spacious, well air conditioned rooms, clean, and tastefully maintained interiors. On top of that you get a quality restaurant not just for breakfasts. It's more than decent for dinners too. The staff - housekeeping, front desk, restaurant - everyone acts professional and super friendly! And that is probably the major reason for our overall experience being this great.

Upon arrival, the reservation agent, Mihai, was very surly. He didn't listen to us at all, just did what he wanted. At one point, he said, "If you want, you can do it this way." He tried to charge us an extra fee by typing it into the POS machine without informing us; we noticed, but he continued as if nothing had happened and gave us our keys after payment. Our room was very small, with a huge pipe running through the middle. A large fly was buzzing around the room. Despite requesting cleaning on the second day, it wasn't done. As a family who stays at the Hilton at least 20-25 days a year, this was the worst experience we've ever had.

I am writing this review at 1 am. It is impossible to sleep, there is a night club just across my window and it is LOUD as a nightmare. It starts an midnight. I have to wake up at 6 am, without any sleep. I asked the receptionist to change my room but he said they are completely booked. If you want no sleep, you may proceed to book this hotel. Edit: They have changed the room the next day which is quiet. Do not accept a room with 230s, 330s, 430s etc with even numbers. They are all facing to the nightclub.
