I was denied entry based solely on my appearance, which felt discriminatory and unfair. The bouncer made an assumption about me and my friends before even speaking to us. I fully respect that this is a queer space—I am part of the LGBTQ+ community myself—but that didn’t seem to matter in her decision. What was especially disappointing is that my friends, who came with full respect for the space, were also judged and turned away. They left feeling singled out and unwelcome, which goes against the inclusive spirit a queer venue should aim to foster. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that entry policies are applied in a way that reflects true inclusivity rather than stereotypes.
