❗❗❗BIG WARNING ❗❗❗ This is not a hostel for tourists. If you're planning a vacation here, avoid this place at all costs! The reviews are misleading about the actual condition of the building. It's an old, dilapidated structure. While the rooms are reasonably clean, the beds were missing things like duvet covers. However, I was absolutely shocked when I saw the bathrooms. Everything is covered in mold and stinks. I think the place has its place as a reception center for migrant workers, but it's definitely not suitable for tourists. After realizing the state of the place and fleeing it—something I've never done before—I received unsolicited WhatsApp messages. This is unacceptable. I took the opportunity to ask for a refund and received a curt reply that the rooms were as pictured. They may be, but the hygienic conditions do not reflect this.
Good for a night or two.
I stayed at the hostel about two months ago and I've been meaning to leave my review. I stayed for a week and my experience was fantastic—very tidy, clean, well-located, and quiet. The owners are wonderful people (Pablo and Lorena... I hope I remember their names correctly) and are always willing to help and give you all the information you need. Highly recommended! I would definitely stay there again.
Absolutely loved our stay here!! Great location - it did feel like a bit of a walk from the bus stop especially since it is fully uphill, but you are located close to a beautiful path along the water, a great coffee shop, and the main walking street in town. The staff were extremely friendly, having a towel included is very nice. They stored our bags for the day since we got in very early. Nice rooftop, I wish we could have gotten more use out of it. We did have to go up a floor in order to shower and there’s no elevator but that was no problem. It was very lively inside at night with people working on laptops but not a bother at all to people sleeping. Comfy blankets and nice and large lockers to store your stuff.
It's quite cozy, you feel right at home.
