About this place La Sastrería

La Sastrería is a gay bar at Carrer del Consell de Cent 245 bis, in the Gaixample, the part of Eixample where most of Barcelona's gay bars sit. It has over 1,000 Google reviews averaging 4.5, and reviewers mostly mention drag shows and themed nights, with quieter, more conversational evenings on weekdays. The Consell de Cent and Diputació blocks between Carrer de Muntaner and Carrer d'Aribau have several gay bars close together, so it fits easily into a bar crawl. We don't have hours on file. Like most bars here, it gets going late, so check its social media for show nights.

They tried to charge my friend more just because she's a woman, which is completely illegal. They advertise themselves as a very open bar, and they claimed they only wanted cis men and men who looked like cis men because it was Circuit week. "It doesn't matter how he identifies, he doesn't look like a man." They refused to give us a complaint form, mocking us.

Value for money: terrible; don't order cocktails because they don't know how to make them.

Great local drag shows and entertainment. They did add in some English where they could but massive efforts to be inclusive and audience participation
