Gran Hotel Domine Bilbao

Disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable service. We asked about the Rooftop bar at reception and were sent up to the 7th floor — but once there, the host refused to acknowledge us. Other guests who arrived after we did were served first while we were completely ignored. When we went back down to reception to complain, nothing was done about it. For a hotel that clearly thinks highly of itself, the experience fell well short — we've had far better hospitality elsewhere, and treatment like this shouldn't happen anywhere.

Great hotel. Location is perfect, with nice views of the Guggenheim. The rooms are well-designed and comfortable, and the whole stay felt luxurious. Staff was friendly and very professional. Breakfast is definitely worth enjoying.

We did not stay in the hotel, but did eat in it's Gallery restaurant twice during a short visit to Bilbao. The food was excellent, in particular the Monkfish which is served at your table. The atmosphere is good and the setting quite modern. Those who are seated with a window view, will be looking at the Guggenheim. The first time we went in we didn't have a reservation, but we were greatest warmly and a table for two was quickly found. Prices are, reasonable for the quality of food you'll be eating. Service is very good from the team who look after you who are friendly, professional and attentive. As I said, we enjoyed our first visit so much we went back, which says a lot about this restaurant which is in a city full of superb restaurants.

Excellent location and super friendly and helpful staff.

We recently stayed at the Artist Grand Hotel in Bilbao for 3 nights. What a wonderful stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and greeted us warmly and I cannot say enough about the team that oversaw our experience daily at breakfast and also the team that provided service at the Terrace in the afternoon. I have not seen such exceptional care, attention to detail in quite some time. The hotel is perfectly situated across the street from the Gugenheim Museum … away from the bustling central plaza and down town but easy enough of a walk. The terrace was a great place to enjoy breakfast but to enjoy an afternoon drink and snack. The food was all creative and delicious. The staff, however, made our stay incredibly exceptional.
