Hotel Museu Llegendes de Girona

Alarming lack of maintenance. Upon arrival, we immediately informed Reception that a wardrobe door was missing and a lightbulb was out in the bathroom... after four days, they hadn't fixed anything. They did, however, offer us a bottle of cava :(

I'll start with an objective fact: we interacted with 4 receptionists (1 by phone before entering the hotel and 3 during our stay). All of them were very friendly and cordial. All 4 of them greeted us in Spanish at the start (one even in English); we communicated in Catalan and they continued to greet us in Spanish. On the day of check-out, we had to repeat in Spanish the phrase "can you open the parking lot for us please" because the receptionist didn't understand us. Everyone can make their own assessment of this fact, obviously, but for me it is a great lack of quality in customer service for a hotel located in Catalonia and in the center of Girona. As for the rest, it is clear that the location is fantastic for a visit to the historic center of Girona. Apart from that, not much else: room 203 seemed uncomfortable to me (little light, long waiting time for hot water in the shower, decoration and maintenance of the furniture just right.... In short, the stay in Girona was fantastic, but I honestly believe that the hotel is not quite what you imagine when you make the reservation with the internet info.

The hotel boasts a well-designed and tidy facade, but the in-room experience falls far short. Soundproofing is poor, the decor is dated and inconsistent with the hotel's overall theme. In short, the price charged does not justify the service provided.

The location is great and the decor and statues are interesting. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room itself was a bit weird. The lighting was really outdated and the breakfast was not worth the money (especially with so many cute cafes nearby). For 1 night it was ok but I wouldn't repeat. Also, they shut everything after 11pm but no one told us and we had to find the side entrance ourselves.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I liked where the hotel was located, in the historic heart of Girona. All the main monuments are fast accessible, within minutes. They have everything you need for breakfast, and the products are of good quality. For those arriving by car, there is a large free car park nearby. Opposite the hotel you will find a supermarket and many restaurants nearby. Regarding areas for improvement, they mainly concern the room. A major renovation is absolutely necessary for a hotel claiming to be four stars; we're closer to two stars. I'm not going to go into detail about the problems encountered here, but it would be good if a manager made the rounds of the rooms from time to time. Regarding the hotel's concept, specifically its theme of legends, it's not very clear. There are many ceramic pieces depicting various places, both ancient and modern, as well as busts of famous people. They appear to have been placed haphazardly, without any explanation or coherent arrangement.

A shame! Pay for this hotel, send an email with the complaint and no response from the management. Bed with hairs and hairs, bed impossible to sleep in because of the mold, toilet fan fallen, very broken bedside table, refrigerator with a lot of noise and without refrigeration. The guys at the reception are friendly and empathetic, but they are not trained!!! Shame to pay the high amount for the NO response from the management, for the rooms, the beds.... don't pay

Twelve years ago, we first stayed here, and it was a 4-star hotel then; now it isn't. The rooms are in need of maintenance: the faucet and shower head are in bad shape, the curtains are hanging loose, and the heating doesn't work and makes a terrible noise. The staff is friendly and attentive. The room, towels, and sheets were very clean. The breakfast area is very small, and the tables are very close together, offering little privacy.

Unfortunately, this hotel has been the worst experience I've ever had as a traveler. My girlfriend and I booked a room for one night, November 1st and 2nd, and to our surprise, the hotel charged us €200, accusing us of smoking marijuana, which is completely false. I've tried contacting them through every possible channel, but they haven't offered any solution. I have photos that show the deplorable state of the bathroom, with a broken extractor fan and a loose vent, which is quite dangerous. The room wasn't entirely clean either, but we didn't decide to complain since we were just passing through Girona. Upon arriving at the hotel, and seeing that the bathroom extractor fan was broken and dangerous, we decided to turn it off and open the room windows. We informed the reception staff about the poor condition of the room, but they haven't sent us any additional information or explained why we were fined with any coherent evidence. They simply accuse us of smoking in the room, which is completely untrue. Do they even have any kind of smoke detector? It's unbelievable that we're being blamed for something we didn't do. What are they basing their accusations on, blaming people for smoking in a room? We will consult with experts and explore all available options to challenge these false accusations.

A gem. Clean, quiet, but above all, a museum dedicated to Dalí. Excellent breakfast. Spotlessly clean.
