What reviewers say

Visitors often praise the hotel's friendly and professional staff, with some finding the rooms cozy and comfortable. However, a common complaint is that the hotel is a bit far from the city center, and some rooms are described as dated and in need of a touch-up, with issues like poor bedding and malfunctioning air conditioning.

Rooms are a bit tired. Kept clean. Location is poor with no restaurants nearby, have to bus into Girona on L2. Train and bus station 1km towards Girona.

Very disappointed by this hotel which supposedly accepts dogs, but not in the restaurant or breakfast room, and according to the hotel, dogs cannot be left alone in the room… We were put on the 5th floor in the last room before the emergency exit, even though the hotel was far from full. For breakfast, we were seated in the hallway because it wasn't possible to have the dog (we were charged 25 euros for the dog… we wonder why). We will not be returning to this hotel.

They gave me a room, and when I entered, the bathroom was dripping with water as if it had been used and not cleaned. I complained, and they gave me a room on the opposite side, which was an oven, even though it was almost 2 a.m. They forced me to give them a credit card as a payment guarantee in case of any damage to the room during my stay. The television didn't work, light bulbs were burned out in the lamps… in short, terrible value for money. The shower screen still had the old Meliá hotel emblem (I suppose this hotel was part of that chain at some point), so you can imagine when this hotel was last renovated. As for the parking, I won't even mention the price because it seems outrageous; I'll just say that right across the street there's a huge, free, and quiet parking lot.

We spent two nights at this hotel using a Smartbox voucher. The hotel is quite well located. We didn't take a bus, and it's easily accessible on foot to the city center. Our room was rather dated, as was the air conditioning. The quality of the bedding was poor (I'm 30 years old and had back pain when I woke up). The sheets were very thin. I understand that it's hot in Girona, but it was very light, and there was only one single duvet for two people! The receptionist, however, was very friendly and spoke French. The hotel restaurant and breakfast were just passable. I know that as French people, we are demanding when it comes to food, but we didn't find the meal excellent. There were few side dishes with the meat. It was simply a roast pork covered in sauce and a few potato slices. The chocolate mousse for dessert wasn't really chocolate mousse. It didn't taste like chocolate and I suppose it was white chocolate (this wasn't specified on the menu). Breakfast is nothing special, but you shouldn't expect anything less. Good to know: there's free parking right next door, so don't pay.

The hotel is well-located, just a few minutes' walk from the center of Girona, making it easy to visit the city. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast offered a good variety, enough to start the day off right. The only negative aspect was the reception. Upon check-in, we were asked for a €50 deposit for potential drinks at the bar or damage to the room. I understand that the hotel can implement this policy, but this charge was not mentioned in the booking conditions, and the way it was communicated was rather unpleasant. We eventually learned that this payment is not mandatory if it wasn't disclosed beforehand during the booking process, so we decided not to accept it. Greater transparency and better service at reception would have made the experience much more positive.
