You will not find a better, cleaner, more interesting place so close to Girona. We stayed three nights with our dog and have never felt more welcome and looked after. Salvi and Ignasi are wonderful. They serve a generous breakfast. The area is tranquil, full of lovely walks in the woods and along the river. Must try this one, you won't regret it!

It is a 13th century farmhouse renovated with exquisite taste, full of details everywhere... it looks like a museum! It is beautiful, very clean and cozy. Ignasi and Salvi, the owners, welcome you from the first moment with great kindness and make you feel at home. The location is exceptional: very quiet surroundings and in the middle of nature. We enjoyed and disconnected a lot. We will definitely come back!

Perfect spot for a quick getaway from Barcelona. The details of this shared country house are lovely, the staff are really cool and friendly, and the garden is a marvel 😍. Breakfast is homemade and right next door. There are several paths you'll love. Plus, it's very dog-friendly 🐶.

Mas Gilbert was beyond perfect, truly one of the best places we have ever stayed. The house itself is a hidden gem, full of soul and character. Its artistic and rustic design gives such an authentic, historical vibe, vintage, charming, and incredibly beautiful. You can feel that every detail was created with love and intention. The hosts were honestly two of the kindest and most caring people I have ever met. They constantly made sure we had everything we needed, were so accommodating with our wishes, and treated us with such warmth and respect. Two beautiful souls hosting a mesmerizing home. The breakfast was another highlight, generous, delicious, and homemade, with fresh jam and cake that felt like the icing on the cake of a perfect stay. All in all, this was one of our best stays ever. If you are visiting Girona, do not think twice, this place is pure magic.

What an amazing place and what wonderful owners! The house is spectacular, it looks like a museum, and everything is beautiful, every detail. The owners' hospitality is incredible; they prepare amazing breakfasts. The rooms are meticulously maintained and very private.

We found Mas Gilbert by chance and fell completely in love with the place and its creative and generous owners!

We made a reservation through Booking and after it was confirmed, we received an email that the price of the rate was incorrect and was 15 euros more expensive. This is illegal. The regulations establish that the rate of a reservation can only be increased if it is clearly a manifest error (that is, ridiculous prices) and therefore, this is not the case. If it was an error by the establishment when setting the price of the room, the establishment must assume it, not the customer. In addition, it generates some harm since one organizes and plans a trip based on the place where they look for accommodation and therefore, that they offer you the option to cancel for free, continues to generate harm to the customer. On the other hand, the fact that an establishment decides to breach the regulations already generates distrust towards this establishment.

A unique, picturesque, and peaceful rural retreat, decorated with exquisite taste. In a beautiful and tranquil setting. The rooms are spacious, incredibly comfortable, and welcoming. And best of all, the attention from the two people who run it (Salvi and Ignasi), who, in addition to always being attentive to our needs, were friendly, kind, and absolutely delightful at all times. They make you feel comfortable and eager to return. Something we certainly will. I can't give it more than five stars because it's not possible, but they undoubtedly deserve the highest rating. Without a doubt, a highly recommended place to spend a few peaceful and relaxing days.
