About this place Café Wien

On level 2 of the Cita shopping center in Playa del Inglés, you’ll find Café Wien, a low-key coffee shop that just happens to be a hub for LGBTQ+ travelers.

They specialize in coffee and cakes baked fresh every day, using traditional recipes from their own kitchen. It’s a good place to hide out from the usual mayhem of Playa del Inglés.

The vibe is cozy, intimate. You can grab a quiet coffee in the morning, a slice of cake in the afternoon, or meet up with friends. The homemade baking is what makes this place different from a dozen other tourist traps. Their cake selection changes daily, depending on what they’ve pulled from the oven. Expect honest hospitality in a part of Gran Canaria that doesn’t always deliver it.

You’ll find them inside the Cita complex. Check www.cafe-wien.org before you go.

Nothing special about this place, cakes are not impressive at all and coffee is average. Definitely not visiting this café again in the future

We stopped here for coffee in the afternoon. The service is friendly and pleasant. The cakes are homemade, and the quality and taste are excellent. The espresso is good. They also serve breakfast. The prices are reasonable. It's usually very busy in the afternoon. The sweet treat after a day at the beach is very tempting.
