A beautiful and pleasant setting for relaxation

I often travel to Maspalomas for work and always choose to stay here! It's an extremely clean place, with a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, where comfort and relaxation are never lacking. The rooms are new, meticulously maintained, and impeccable: nothing is missing, everything you need for a comfortable apartment vacation. The common areas are always clean and beautiful, and special mention goes to the solariums with four jacuzzis: a true corner of paradise! A special mention goes to Chiara, the property's receptionist: always friendly, kind, and available, both on site and via WhatsApp. She's always ready to answer any questions with immense patience and professionalism. In short, a small "sea of ​​white wonder." A place I hold dear and recommend without hesitation!

TOP TIP: other hotels offer more warmth, better service and environment than this hotel. Do NOT pay premium prices, it’s not a premium product. Reviews in the last 6 months are accurate. We stayed in the most expensive “premium” apartment at Mar Bianco, mainly because it included a private jacuzzi. The location is excellent — very close to the Yumbo Centre and within walking distance of the beaches. The rooms were clean and the staff on site were polite and did their best to help. However, the private jacuzzi did not provide a proper hot tub experience during most of our stay. It never reached the kind of temperature you would reasonably expect from a premium feature. Staff checked it several times, but it didn’t meaningfully improve. In the end, we asked them to stop coming as it was clear it wouldn’t be resolved during our visit. There was also no daily cleaning service, which is surprising at this price point, and the premium apartment is located at basement level. The private garden/jacuzzi area is shaded for much of the day, which makes it feel darker than the listing suggests. The most disappointing part wasn’t the technical issue itself, but the management response. While the staff were kind, there was no proportionate adjustment offered for the shortfall in what is marketed as a premium product. The property has potential and the location is great, but I would not recommend paying extra for the premium apartment unless expectations around the jacuzzi and service level are adjusted.

Our stay was 7 days. I would not book this apartment again. The term "luxury apartment" is completely misleading. For €1,300, you can get significantly better and, above all, cleaner accommodations in Maspalomas. You have to specifically request fresh towels or cleaning from the cleaning staff every single time. The overall cleanliness was very poor. I don't even want to go into detail – if I were to upload the photos I took, I suspect no one would come back. It was unfortunately very unhygienic. The moment we saw it, we wanted to leave immediately, but we didn't have any other hotel options. Another major annoyance: On vacation, you want to sleep in, but after 8 a.m., that's impossible because of the noisy staff. It's a real shame, because the complex has real potential. We won't be returning and we certainly won't be recommending this accommodation.

Basic for the price. Moderately comfortable, no sun loungers on the apartment terraces. The bar was closed, so there was no social atmosphere.

Sadly not great and lacking potential. The pool is almost totally unusable - almost no one used it all week! Glass barriers all around with no seating and a giant shed taking up the space where chairs are shown in the photo. Glass enclosing all the balconies giving a sterile feel. Uncomfortable little sofa, no draining rack to put plates and cups (annoying when no dishwasher) and such a cheap addition. No kitchen towel either. Cleaning was not great. Some dirty cups and no water glasses so we ended up buying plastic cups. This place could be so much better but sadly it’s not.

Since last August, this resort has been under new management, unfortunately, run by people who have no real understanding of what it means to manage a hospitality business, let alone a resort for gay men only. The property itself is solid and full of potential: just 12 small apartments in a setting that could offer intimacy, comfort, and attention to detail. Instead, everything is run with a shocking level of improvisation and carelessness. Main issues: 1. Total inconsistency across online platforms. The information on their website, Booking, and Google doesn’t match at all. Services, descriptions, and photos are confusing and misleading. 2. Complete lack of professionalism. There’s no visible management. Cleaning staff are kind but untrained, and both the apartments and common areas are dirty and neglected. You even have to request basic cleaning service. 3. No presence or assistance whatsoever. There is no on-site staff member or point of contact. Guests are completely left on their own, even for simple questions or courtesy requests. The result: • dark blue pillowcases with visible white stains, • dusty floors full of hair, • a pool bar closed and without even background music, • no activities or entertainment (the atmosphere is like a retirement home), • no welcome products, just four terrible coffee capsules, • branded bathroom dispensers refilled with cheap supermarket products, • a jacuzzi with green water, • outdoor fake grass flooring never cleaned, • dirty or missing sunbeds by the pool, • dirty dishes and cutlery left by previous guests, • and finally, unannounced visits from potential buyers (including women!) in what is supposed to be a gay nudist resort. As if that weren’t enough, upon departure we asked for a late check-out, since our flight was at 7:00 p.m. The answer? They asked for €30 *per person* just to stay a few extra hours. A deeply disappointing experience, made even more frustrating by knowing how truly wonderful this place could be — if only it were managed with respect, competence, and the slightest sensitivity toward its intended guests.

A jewelry box without any jewelry. Would I stay again? No, thank you. Where's the luxury? The resort has so much potential, but the staff seems rather lazy, and many things weren't as pictured or described. + At first glance, the resort appears very cozy and beautiful, especially the pool… but on closer inspection… - The poolside bar is closed. - The bedding was stained and dirty. Even after I asked for it to be replaced, the new sheets were stained again. (I'll leave it to the reader's imagination to guess what those stains were.) - It seems the area under the bed hasn't been cleaned in a long time. - Cleaning was only available upon request, and the cleaning lady wasn't exactly thrilled about it. Even then, the cleaning was very superficial. There were hairs in the shower afterward that certainly weren't mine. - The water in the jacuzzis was often green/yellow or so full of chlorine that it burned my eyes and nose.

I'm writing this review to say that we are delighted with Mar Bianco. We felt incredibly comfortable during our week here. Before arriving, Juan, the reservations manager, was very helpful and attentive from the very beginning. During the week, we were also very happy with the staff, both Davinia and Sara (the weekend manager), who were attentive and incredibly kind to us. I 100% recommend this place because it's so peaceful, both in the pool area and upstairs in the solarium and jacuzzi. It was a fantastic choice, and we're already planning to return on other dates because we truly had a wonderful time. We definitely recommend Mar Bianco if you're looking for rest, tranquility, friendly service, and the freedom to relax without a swimsuit throughout the complex. Thank you so much, Mar Bianco team.
