MAUU Bar Café, at Centro Comercial Cita on Avenida de Francia, is a gay spot that shifts with the clock, from quiet mornings to late nights.
You can start the day here with breakfast and coffee. It’s a low-key café then, a place to ease into things. But by evening, the mood picks up, becoming a proper cocktail bar. It stays open until 2 am, drawing a crowd.
Gran Canaria has a good, established LGBTQ+ community, and MAUU fits right in. It's built for gay locals and visitors, whether you’re after a quiet coffee, a meal, or drinks with other people. That day-to-night flexibility is a big part of its appeal.
Expect a modern place, well-kept, with decent food and drinks. You can drop in for a quick espresso, or settle in for a longer meal, or just enjoy the buzz of the evening bar. Check their website for current hours and what’s on offer.

Boring, uninspired place. Was "lured" by a favorable price on the advertising board. Afterwards, it turned out they had charged a higher price for the dish. And serving the starter at the same time as the main course?? Left here feeling disgusted. Not recommended!!
We called into this lovely restaurant after seeing their advert for fish and chips, and we were not disappointed, a warm welcome from the staff, speedy service, superb fish and chips and all for an exceptionally good price, we couldn't fault anything about the place and will definitely be returning on our next holiday to Gran Canaria!
Prawns in their casings, cooked in garlic oil, without bread. Small bread roll €1.50. Beer: large €2.50, small €2.25
I had a tuna salad today. While eating, I got a terrible headache and felt dizzy. Then I had diarrhea at home. I suspect the canned tuna wasn't stored properly. My husband had fish and chips, which wasn't great either, but what can you expect for 10 euros? Overall, a pretty dingy place that I absolutely cannot recommend.
Had 4 full English breakfast 2 was completely cold sent back once as wasn't cooked how I asked then when it comes back everything else was stone cold .... still got charged full amount...id avoid this place
