About this place Globales Gardenia

Globales Gardenia is a large package-style hotel on Avenida Carvajal at the eastern end of Fuengirola, on the Costa del Sol, near the border with Benalmádena and Torremolinos. It is a gay-friendly mainstream hotel, not a gay venue. Rooms are simple, and the hotel has three pools, a buffet restaurant and sea views from parts of the building. The beach is across the road, and the Carvajal train stop on the Málaga-Fuengirola cercanías line is close by. That puts Torremolinos, the Costa del Sol's main gay resort with its bars around La Nogalera, about 15 minutes away by train.

The hotel is clearly showing its age, but I truly had a pleasant stay there. The hotel is right in the center, close to shops and the promenade. The view from the balcony made up for it all! The food was rather monotonous. The staff was very friendly.

A big plus is that all rooms have a sea view, the beach is just a few dozen meters away, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is a bit dated, and the food is quite repetitive.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, right next to the promenade, beach, sea, shops, and cafes. It has a swimming pool and facilities for disabled guests. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The cleanliness is excellent. The food is very good. Interesting entertainment for children and adults. I recommend it.

Overall, a great experience, except for one of the grill cooks and the dinner and pool hours, which closed at six in the evening!
