Last night we had dinner at RIFF as a birthday treat, and the experience surprised me immensely, not only because of the food, but especially because of everything surrounding the meal. The restaurant has a special warmth: the decor, the ambiance, and above all, the friendliness and empathy of the entire team. There's a great rapport between the kitchen and the dining room, and it's a pleasure to see how everything works with a perfectly coordinated rhythm, without feeling cold or overly formal. One of the best features is having the kitchen completely open to view. Being able to watch them work, how they organize themselves, and how each dish passes through different hands until it reaches the table makes the meal almost a spectacle and adds so much to the experience. The food was excellent, with some truly spectacular dishes. My only criticism was that with some of the main courses, the first bite was impressive, but then the dish became somewhat repetitive; perhaps slightly smaller portions would have made them even more enjoyable. In any case, an experience I will remember. And considering we've even experienced a solar eclipse this month, it's worth saying that RIFF has probably been the most surprising thing I've experienced since then. Congratulations to the whole team. You can tell when a restaurant has great food, professionalism, and, on top of that, a fantastic atmosphere.

I dined alone at RiFF last night and I'm still reeling from this incredible experience. Chef Bernd manages to elevate the local produce of Valencia, and Iván offers a wonderful selection of Spanish wines to complement the dishes. All of this is presented with a surprising and original approach. I was lucky enough to be seated at the bar, with a front-row seat to admire the choreography of Bernd and his young team, who handle the preparation and service with a relaxed yet efficient touch. I appreciated the chef's kind and trusting guidance of his young brigade; you can feel that mentorship is central here. A thousand flavors in every dish, all perfectly balanced! Frankly, I've been to many Michelin-starred restaurants, mainly in France, and many fall short of RiFF, which, in my opinion, must be very close to two stars. Perhaps the restaurant's concept is a bit too modern for Michelin... I'll definitely be back.

Absolutely wonderful experience. The food was phenomenal. The mackerel, use of local ingredients, love for fermentation, the koji use, the dirty rice. It was an exceptional experience. The list of suggestions that came after the meal also served us incredibly well.

Bernd and his team make you feel right at home. The recent renovation of Riff has done wonders for it; I'd especially highlight the bar where you can watch them cook and interact with them. Riff's cuisine is straightforward, without frills or gimmicks, using quality products. Bernd himself goes to the fish market and selects the best. Special mention goes to the rice dishes, always different and creative. I assure you, it's not easy to please the locals in Valencia when it comes to rice dishes, and Bernd succeeds and is daring. Let Iván guide you with the wines. They have a wide and carefully curated selection of natural or minimally processed wines.
