Charming hotel in the middle of Örebro with friendly staff and fresh rooms. There is something special about this hotel that manages to create a feeling of homeliness. The food is delicious. Where every dish is well prepared and thought out, everything to get the taste buds going.
Restaurant
I think it was a bit of a shame that it was so crowded at breakfast, it got very messy when you had to circulate among people. Then I understand that it is difficult to do otherwise. Then the scrambled eggs and bacon were very good. What I thought was incredibly sad, however, were the pancakes, they tasted almost like potato buns. Tasteless and a strange texture. It feels unworthy to serve them when you otherwise maintain such a high quality at breakfast. In addition, I was extremely disappointed that I could not order from the restaurant when I was staying at the hotel without having to bring my wallet. The guy at the bar had absolutely no service mind to solve it. The only thing I wanted was a dessert to round off the evening with in the hotel room. But since I did not bring a card down to the restaurant, I could not order or even put it in the room according to him. He had no interest in helping me either, he just walked on, said nothing more, just said that and left. No service at all.
POSITIVE: - Central location: Right in the city center with walking distance to most things. - Nice atmosphere in the restaurant: Art Deco feel and a well-stocked bar. - Quite okay breakfast: Good selection, although it doesn't quite reach the standard of the big chains. NEGATIVE: - Own nightclub is disturbing: The hotel runs a combined restaurant/bar/nightclub in the same premises, which is not clear when booking and creates enormous noise disturbances. - Extremely sensitive: You can hear everything from the toilet, high noise level from the ventilation and partying guests who sound as if they are inside the room. - Worn and cramped rooms: Small rooms for the price, missing ceiling moldings, small TV and no refrigerator. - Poor sleep comfort: The beds felt completely worn out and were far too soft. - Shortcomings in the bathroom: Smelly drains and a shower that could not be adjusted in height. - Unpleasant night entrance: Hard to find and unwelcoming side entrance after closing. ------ Review: A big disappointment, choose another hotel! We booked this hotel in Örebro with hopes of a good stay based on the stylish pictures and the price range, but unfortunately the experience was a real disappointment. Despite a good location in the center and a stylish Art Deco interior in the restaurant, the shortcomings weigh far too heavily. The biggest problem is the combination of hotel and nightclub. It is not clear when booking that the hotel's own restaurant and bar transforms into a nightclub on weekends, which means an extreme noise level that kept us awake well into the night. The hotel is also incredibly sensitive, we heard the slightest noise from the toilet and were woken up by partying guests who sounded as if they were in our room. Add to that a ventilation system that sounded surprisingly loud. The room itself was cramped and felt worn out. It wasn't completely clean when we arrived, for example the shower curtain hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. There were no ceiling moldings, the TV was ridiculously small and there was no fridge. In the bathroom there was a foul smell coming from the floor drain at regular intervals, and the shower was so low (without the possibility of adjustment) that we had to crouch down even though we are both quite short. The beds were so soft that they felt completely worn out and were so soft that it was impossible to get a good night's sleep. Another strange detail is that you can't use the main entrance at night. Instead you are directed to a small, unwelcoming door between two shops that leads through a dark hallway to an elevator. It didn't feel at all like a safe or welcoming hotel environment. The breakfast was quite okay but not on the level of the established chains, but that doesn't save the overall impression. For the price we paid, this is far from acceptable. My advice to others is to choose one of the established chains in Örebro instead; there you get significantly better quality, service and comfort for the same money. We will definitely not stay here again.
