Best Western Hotel Esplanade Västerås

My stay at the Best Western Hotel Esplanade unfortunately did not live up to expectations. I had hoped for a nice weekend with my dear friends. We get to the hotel rooms, and it looks like an old retirement home. Later at seven o'clock there is a knock on the door by staff who threaten to evict us with guards if we do not stop communicating with each other. We kept a normal noise level. There was also not a very good selection at breakfast. Will not be back.

What was supposed to be a peaceful hotel stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel Esplanade instead became an experience filled with irritation and discomfort. The walls feel thinner than paper – every laugh, every word in a normal conversational tone is heard as if you were standing in the middle of the corridor and shouting out to all of Sweden. You barely dare to speak without feeling looks or irritation from those around you, as if the hotel expects total silence around the clock. A friendly welcome can save a lot, but here both warmth and understanding were missing. So I do not urge future guests to put one millimeter of their toe in this spectacle.

It is friendly and clean. The location is also good.

No service if you have a problem arriving in the evening, only a phone with remote desk

The rooms are okay. Nothing excessive lux.

Nice hotel, in the shadow of its big sister Plaza, but with its own rustic charm. Nice front desk too!
