A repugnant flag flew in front of this hotel

Rooms are ridiculously hot and the air con does nothing other than make noise. Great staff and location

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at the Hotel Le Diplomate, which absolutely does not meet the standards of a 4-star establishment. We had booked a room with a balcony, but upon arrival, we were not given one. When we pointed out this problem, the receptionist, slumped in his chair, casually replied that it was “first come, first served” and that it wasn’t his problem. A completely unacceptable response for a hotel of this standing. The lack of professionalism doesn’t end there: when we simply asked for a coffee, we were told to “see if a colleague might have a capsule.” This reflects a very poor level of customer service. As for the room itself, the conditions were also unacceptable: faulty electrical outlets, dirty and torn sheets, and general neglect of cleanliness with cobwebs everywhere. In light of these issues, the star rating is clearly misleading and in no way reflects the actual quality of the establishment. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel.

We were glad that we stayed only for a night, 15 hours to be precise. It didn't gave a feeling of a 4 star hotel. Rooms were terrible, bad smelling, flies, stained sheets, hairy bathroom floor. Staff were cooperative but they can't do much when the infrastructure around them are crumbling. Only good thing is the location. Ok for short stay like ours, I won't see myself staying for more than a day.
