Room no 14 was newly refurbished and air conditioned which was great as who expected 32 degrees in Zurich in May. The staff from checkin to checkout at midday were wonderful . They were helpful without being annoying and seemed very proud of their spotless hotel

Located in the heart of Zurich in a very good location! The rooms are very small and a bit musty. It was okay for one night. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I've been returning to this wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of Zurich for many years now. Excellent location, clean rooms – you feel right at home here. Highly recommended!

Very pleasant place to stay. We were on the 2nd floor, closest to the street, which can be very active until early morning. We were suprised that it really wasn't that loud when trying to fall asleep earlier one of the few evenings we were there. The crowds can be intimidating depending on the time you are there (such as a special event), but it dies down quickly around the 10pm range. Very convenient to walking both sides of the river, and is 10 minutes maximum walk to the train station too. The rooms are small, but not that small, and more than comfortable for staying a few days. Because it is a historic building, there is no real reception area, other than a stand when you first walk in - which always has someone there from 6am to 10pm. Everyone we met (a total of three different people) were so nice and accomodating. One was overly accomodating when we came for breakfast literally a few minutes late - and she was so nice to help us have a breakfast when she easily could have said we were too late that day. And another one was overly pleasant guiding us to a few different paths to try on both sides of the river. They also offer a nice thank you treat for being eco-friendly. For us, it was a nice end to a multi-country vacation. Thank you for the hospitality.
