Excellent hotel. Well located. Clean. Quiet. The staff were fantastic with advice.
A few issues. There is no way to get your roller bags into hotel without going up or down a flight of stairs. With a heavy bag this is a problem. Further, It is in a pedestrian zone so you’ll need to drag it along cobblestones to get there. Further it sits right next to a few bars where they party loudly into the night until 3am. Service a front desk can be very short. Breakfast included is continental at best and fairly disgusting. Room very small. Price is right though…
★★☆☆☆ While the Hotel Adler is in a convenient Old Town location, our stay was disappointing overall. The biggest issue is accessibility. There is no way to enter the hotel without navigating multiple steps, which made arriving and departing with heavy luggage extremely difficult. This is something guests should be aware of before booking. The front desk staff was not particularly welcoming or friendly, which did not create a great first impression. The rooms were adequate and reasonably clean, but nothing special. Our room overlooked the pedestrian area, and the noise level was a major problem. Between people outside late into the evening and activity continuing well into the night, getting a good night’s sleep was difficult. The location is excellent for exploring Zurich, but the lack of accessibility, unfriendly service, and constant noise would make me consider other options on a future visit.
This is a lovely smaller hotel with lots of personal touches. We felt taken care of and were able to enjoy a delicious dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Location is perfect for strolling cobblestone streets.
Nice clean rooms great service
It's a convenient 8-minute walk from the Zurich train station and located in the heart of the Zurich Old Town. I had the smaller 1-person room and it was great for my solo trip. Hotel provided excellent complimentary breakfast. The Spanish lady who worked the front desk was really helpful and resourceful. By the way, the hotel restaurant is one of the best fondue places in the city. Don't skip it!
Beautiful/clean hotel, incredible location and lovely/kind staff! Will definitely stay here again when in Zurich. Merci vielmal Rimona and team :)
