Hotel Sultanahmet

I love this hotel! Rooftop Turkish breakfast is included, it's in an amazing location close to Aya Sophia, and it is on the tram line. The owner gives great advice. The rooms are clean and simple, the beds are comfy, but in a town this happening the room is the least important. Breakfast to fuel your go-go-go day, helpful hints when you need them, and a good night's sleep before you do it all over again the next day. I teach in Erzurum, Türkiye, and whenever I get a long weekend I will always stay here.

We were very pleased with our stay at Hotel Sultanahmet. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful in every way. The hotel's location is fantastic; being within walking distance of Sultanahmet Square is a great advantage. The breakfast was fresh and varied. It's a hotel we would choose again with peace of mind. I recommend it to everyone.

Never go to this hotel! The mattresses are ancient and filthy. The electrical outlets are loose and extremely dangerous for children. The bathroom is very old and dirty. The sofas are filthy and moldy. There's mold everywhere on the walls. Our hotel room had no windows, and the ventilation system didn't provide any fresh air. When I saw the room, I immediately wanted to cancel all three nights, but this wasn't accepted. Since we arrived at night, we had to stay one night. The next day, we went straight to a different hotel. This hotel's license should be revoked.

This is my first time in Istanbul and I'm very happy with this hotel. Everything is spotless, from the rooms to the linens and towels. The breakfasts are delicious and the staff is friendly and tactful. The area is excellent, everything is within walking distance. I recommend it.

Thanx for the nice service i really did enjoy my stay at this hotel nice the owner and the staff are very nice and helpful they did help me in a lot of things . A special thanx to Miss Shadam she is a very kind person, the hotel has a very nice terrace view just in front of Aya sofia and sultan Ahmed . My room had the windows with the castle view too which made my vacation very special.

The best thing about it is the attention from the manager, "Chi_dem." She's attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with any issues that might arise during your stay, always with a smile. She's one of those people who enhance your travel experience instead of complicating it. Although the rooms aren't renovated, it retains the charm of a family-run hotel, just a few meters from the Hagia Sophia and Sultanahmet (Blue Mosque), and a short walk from the T1 tram stop (Eminönü). I highly recommend it.

The lovely lady is very attentive and very friendly. She's super helpful and helps you with everything. Magnificent views. The tram stop is just a 10-minute walk away. And very close to everything, right in the center of Sultanahmet.

Unfortunately, I booked four nights in September, trusting the room photo... a tiny room on the third floor with a 1-square-meter bathroom and no shower, as advertised in the booking description. The next day, we fled and booked the remaining three nights at the Hotel Saratoga, which fortunately had a room available, also in Istanbul, in the same Sultanahmet area. The Hotel Saratoga saved our vacation. All the rooms at the Hotel Sultanahmet are the same, with no bathroom and not very clean. I strongly advise against staying there.

Pros;- Location is great cons:- everything else ! Avoid this hotel - not worth the money. Stayed 4 nights as a single gay traveller in the single room. The room was way too small. Could hardly fit my suitcase in the room. They have a room that can only be described as a cupboard which has your toilet shower wash basin all in on with no divider between the shower and the toilet so it is unhygenic. If you are a larger person, you will not fit in this cupboard room which is problematic if you want to have a proper shower go to the toilet properly. The property does not have lifts so you have to carry your suitcase up stairs. The breakfast was very very average was not worth the climb up the stairs. And finally, the staff are rude particular the woman. The hotel does not allow guests to bring any visitors to their room. They will chase visitors up the stairs to enforce this policy and then try and give you a lecture about this. Very homophobic. On check out, did not even use words just grabbed the key and grunted. Really impacted my stay in Istanbul. There are so many nicer properties to choose from. You should avoid here.

The hotel is awful, terrible, lacking hygiene, about to collapse even without an earthquake. The price is very expensive for the room, there's absolutely no cleanliness, the rooms are very small. The toilet and bathroom are in the same place, within one square meter. There's no refrigerator in the rooms. The paint and walls are in terrible condition. The floor is very dirty, the bed linens are not clean. The breakfast area on the terrace is in a terrible state; breakfast only has 2 or 3 items, and the pastries are half-eaten and left on the plate again. Overall, the breakfast is absolutely inedible. I deeply regret paying so much money for this hotel; I couldn't sleep all night because of the noise. I was originally going to stay for 3 days, but I left after the first day. Anyone with sense wouldn't stay here...
