What reviewers say

While some guests found the staff friendly and the hotel's proximity to Taksim Square convenient, many reviewers were deeply disappointed with the cleanliness, describing rooms and bathrooms as dirty, dusty, and even dilapidated. Common complaints also include issues with hygiene, old rooms, and a strong smell of mold.

About this place Moss Suites Residence Hotel

Moss Suites Residence Hotel is a mainstream apartment-style hotel on Feridiye Caddesi in the Kocatepe area, a few minutes' walk from Taksim Square. The residence format suits longer stays and self-catering, and it rates 4.0 on Google from about 120 reviews. The location puts İstiklal Caddesi and the bars of Beyoğlu within easy reach. Istanbul's discreet gay bars cluster in that area too. Istanbul Pride marches have been banned since 2015, and police pressure on LGBTQ gatherings has increased, so keep a low profile in public. Ask the hotel about check-in arrangements, since residence-style properties do not always staff the desk around the clock.

The staff was very friendly. The first impression when you enter the hotel is good, clean and luxurious. But when I entered the room and the bathroom I was disappointed. Hygiene is beyond criticism. The air conditioners were dusty, the sink in the kitchen was dirty, there was also some dirty rag left, which I did not take a picture of. The shower was leaking, the shower door was broken. After complaining, the hose was replaced immediately. The hotel is not cheap at all.

I have never seen such a disgusting hotel/suite in my life. The place is incredibly filthy; they supposedly clean it, but it's completely unrelated. There's a strong smell of mold everywhere. They tried to give me a different room than the one I reserved. The noise and stuffiness are another problem. The only positive point is its proximity to Taksim Square. Other than that, I absolutely do not recommend it. If you ask me, go and spend a little more money and choose a higher-quality place. 👎🏻

A total disappointment in this hotel, I got a suite and it didn't include anything, the sheets weren't changed, it was very dirty, not cleaned and very small for a suite, compared to the photos it was very disappointing.

I have been in the hotel for 4 nights, the employees during the day are very rude especially the woman, do not greet and are not suitable for this service at all. The room is so old, was cleaned once for 4 days and after I had asked. The shower is really disgusting and when I asked them to change it they said it is good!! The hairdryer is dangerous and you can see 🔥 how it comes out of it. The only good thing is that it is close and quiet in the evening.
