Ibis Budget Birmingham Centre

Good location. Reasonable price. Toilet room a little small. A bigger person might have issues using.

Be wary that there is little parking here if your journey is by car, we had to find a 24 hour carpark then journey back to the Ibis Budget. Other than that it's great!!

Value for money in the centre of Birmingham. Its not the Ritz but its tidy enough for a night's stay.

This hotel makes a Travelodge look like The Dorchester. While the ladies at reception and the cleaner were absolutely lovely and did their best to help, this is unfortunately the worst hotel I have stayed in within the UK. The first room I was allocated had an overwhelming sewage smell. The odour was so strong that I walked straight back out and returned to reception. To their credit, the receptionist apologised and promptly moved me to what she described as one of the newly refurbished rooms. Although the second room was clean, it was incredibly small, the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Anyone who suffers from claustrophobia would likely find it very uncomfortable. The bathroom was equally cramped, with barely enough space to turn around. The shower and sink were also exceptionally small and there was no body wash in the shower. To make matters worse, there was a vent in the room on the exterior wall, which meant dealing with dragonflies and other insects throughout my stay. Overall, this was not a pleasant experience, and I would not choose to stay here again.

Stayed here for one night and was pleasantly surprised having stayed at an Ibis budget before (which was not a good experience). The reception staff were very friendly and happy which is always a nice bonus when you check in. The reception area looked like there was a lot of construction work or repairs going on but the rest of the hotel I saw was a decent standard. The room was a good size and very clean, the bed was comfortable, good sized TV, good lighting, working modern air-con unit. The bathroom was pretty small but useable. Being tall I found it difficult to sit on the toilet because of how close it was to the wall leaving barely any leg room. Good location close enough to walk to and from the train station.

It's been recently reburfished, staff was nice, room was clean, bathroom was modern, it was quiet at night, good wifi.....can't ask for more at this price

The rooms, decor, and breakfast are exactly what you would expect from a budget hotel: exactly what you need. The location near the city center is perfect, and the hotel's parking spaces are also a plus. And above all: the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Does it's its job fror the price, just don't expect much beyond a bed, polite staff, and a decent location.

Absolutely abysmal, avoid if possible. Room wasn't clean, couldnt use the shower, the £9 breakfast consisted of old dry pastries, dubious looking fruit and cheap sliced bread (couldn't eat any of it, so it cost us £9 each for a coffee). Checked out to find a staff member had blocked our car in....AVOID.

I would like to warmly thank all the staff at this hotel for their hospitality and professionalism. Everyone is very kind, smiling, and always attentive, from the reception staff to the housekeeping staff. Although the room was modestly sized, it was very clean, and the sheets were changed daily. The hotel is impeccably maintained throughout. The reception staff were efficient and responsive. Finally, the location is excellent, close to the train station, the bus station, and the city's main attractions. I highly recommend this hotel.
