About this place Staying Cool At Rotunda

Staying Cool operates serviced apartments on the upper floors of the Rotunda, a round 1960s tower perched at the top of New Street in Birmingham city centre. The property bills itself as a mainstream, gay-friendly apartment-hotel with four distinct unit sizes. Every apartment comes with floor-to-ceiling windows, a balcony, a full kitchen, and a separate living area. The view over the city is the primary selling point here. You’re effectively renting a penthouse suite without the five-star price tag, and the glass walls turn the skyline into your living room. Location-wise, you’re steps from the Bullring shopping centre. Moor Street and New Street stations are both a short walk away, making transit easy. If you’re heading to Birmingham’s Gay Village around Hurst Street, it’s about a ten-minute walk south. That’s a manageable distance to walk back after a night out. Google users rate the spot 4.3. It’s not a luxury hideaway, but it’s a practical, well-placed option for anyone who wants space and light in the middle of the city.

Such a great shame that Staying Cool has ceased trading. Always enjoyed my stays here. Great central location, very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful views across Birmingham. Good sized rooms with all the facilities you could wish for in a serviced apartment. Comfortable beds that you don't want to get out of. I will stay here again and would highly recommend Staying Cool to anyone.

Have spent a happy couple of nights here with my foodie son. Brilliant location to explore the best of Birmingham and spoilt for choice with nearby cafes and restaurants. Outstanding views. Loads to nose at out of the huge floor to ceiling windows. Special shout out to Beryl who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. A real star.

Absolutely fabulous apartments in a prime location. Full kitchen and seemingly completely sound proof. However the room was far too hot. The two industrial fans didn't help at all. Couldn't stay here due to the heat which is a shame considering how lovely the rooms were otherwise

Would not return anymore. Staff obnoxiously rude now and network is god awful that my data wouldn’t work. Further they give you the wifi codes which hardly work to the point you can’t text or make proper calls. Absolutely disgusting it’s like they don’t care anymore.
