Convenient inner city location. Rooms/facilities are basic but you get what you pay for. Main issue for me during this stay was no staff contactable for emergencies/issues overnight. At midnight a drunk & disruptive guest joined our dorm and shouted racist abuse for several hours. Unable to contact staff to move rooms or deal with the guest, we had to leave and sleep in the common areas.

The room stank of dirty people who clearly have no idea what water and soap is. One of my housemates is exactly the same as these people and it's that mouldy smell. It's gross, I genuinely thought I was gonna have bed bugs all over me. The people in the room where rude because they slammed the bedroom doors. I barely had some sleep as it is, and then these rude people. I stayed in a hostal somewhere in Asia that was on top of a drum and bass club and had better sleep than these rude people. The staff themselves where very helpful and very friendly, so a credit to the staff. Also the location is slap bang in the middle of Bristol city centre. Just don't share a room with a bunch of smelly random people.

Nice people. Great location. Sturdy bunks with power but no light, no curtain. Huge kitchen & a TV room make up the common areas. A shower room was near my dorm but toilets were a little distance. Downstairs bar and club with bowling alley don't go very late during the week. The cost and noise level increases on weekends so I left on a Friday. Quite a few permanent residents.

Stayed at Rock & Bowl Hostel and had a really good experience. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful whenever I needed anything. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the showers were spotless, and the kitchen was very well maintained too. You can tell the place is looked after properly. Great atmosphere, good location, and excellent value for money. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bristol.

For £20, this is a great last minute, late check in option of you just need a place to crash. I literally turned up at midnight & got a room on a Saturday night. Utter god send considering the state is was in 😂 Parked my car in NCP all night so between parking & the room, spent <£50. Literally dead central as well. Just consider the bass in the room next door & figure out where both toilets are as 1 of their locks will enevitably be broken.

This hostel is underrated in my view. Every staff I spoke to was easy going and helpful. The maintenance of common area was not bad - perhaps cleaning has improved. I stayed comfortably at 10-bed mixed dorm. Some tips I’d give is that bring earplugs and a lock as music was loud from downstairs when I was there Sat night. And it’s at a prime location, 10 walk to the dock.
