About this place Warner Hotels - Studley Castle

Studley Castle is a Warner Hotels property on Hardwick Lane near Studley, Warwickshire, built around a 19th-century country house in Gothic castle style. Warner runs adults-only short breaks with meals and evening entertainment included, so this is a packaged leisure hotel rather than a room-only stay. It is a mainstream gay-friendly listing, not a gay venue, rated 4.5 on Google from about 1,700 reviews. The crowd skews older and couples-heavy. Stratford-upon-Avon is about 20 minutes' drive away and Birmingham around 40, so you will want a car. Book through Warner, which sells breaks by the night or as themed packages.

Wonderful 3 night weekend stay. Not actually a castle but a family home built with style in the 1830's. Plenty of historic rooms to stay at but the non historic Studley rooms are lovely and an added bonus of air conditioning. No complaints at all. Room great, food great, entertainment great and also watched a movie in the cinema. Had a trip out to nearby Warwick Castle and Alcester.

Just returned from 4 night stay in castle room 1 (marketed as premium) very disappointing, best described as furniture grave yard, nothing matched and way passed it's best. Large bathroom with no opening window and shower door that didn't fit flooding floor during use, accompanied by background funky drain smell. Large bedroom with one small opening sash window ( approx 28cm x 90cm ) with filth encrusted desktop fan, totally inadequate. The window jammed open first time I used it, though I reported it wasn't fixed during our stay. Food Breakfast buffet was good, dinner offering reminded us of "school dinner's" you wouldn't go hungry but uninspiring by third night. Entertainment The in-house band/entertainment team were good. "The Man" George Michael tribute was dreadful, the chap singing show tunes wasn't much better. Cleaning Needs to be improved, no attention to detail, I have a list but there's little point. We are undecided on future visits to Warners, for sure we would not choose an historic room following this experience

Attended a 'Strictly ' weekend. We had a brilliant time. Everyone was so friendly, I guess that's because we had a common interest. It was full on with dance classes, q & a sessions, costume and back stage info, photos with the stars and celeb 10 in all over the weekend plus superb showcase each evening.

1st time visiting a Warners with my Mum. Studley Castle exceeded my expectations! The food was delicious and so much choice. The grounds and our room were so clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly, attentive and always make time for quick chatter :) They have created a Warners bubble here of peace and quiet/activity filled days-which ever you prefer! The bonus was we went for The Strictly weekend-definitely recommend! We booked a Studley room which was accessible to lifts. The Pool/spa area was also lovely, clean and indoor/outdoor sunbeds to relax on. My mum uses a walker and we found everywhere accessible for her anyway- Thankyou!
