The rooms are too small and outdated. It is not 4 star hotel. I found managing the light with Ipad a bit wierd.
Nice location, young and helpful staff. Fancy rooms with a nice view.
Tiny rooms. Takes the Tesla experience of doing everything via a screen and turns it up to 11. Turn on a lamp? Use the iPad. Change the TV channel? Use the iPad. You can’t control the ventilation (other than temperature). Room was roasting. The blinds worked but made a total racket. Do NOT use the button by door. The doors, by the way, are paper thin. You will hear every word of the conversation being had by people in the halls, and if you’re by the lifts, guess what - people love to stand and chat there. At 2am. Still, it’s in a decent spot.
Perfect!
CitizenM Glasgow enjoys an excellent location, within walking distance of Buchanan Bus Station, Queen Street Railway Station, the city centre, and numerous restaurants and shops. The hotel offers a modern, technology-driven experience with self check-in/check-out kiosks and an in-room iPad that controls the lights, temperature, TV, and curtains. The biggest drawback is the room size. The room is extremely compact, with the bed positioned against the wall. If two people are sharing the room, one person has to climb over the other to get in or out of bed. There are also no in-room conveniences such as a kettle, tea or coffee sachets. During our stay, only one elevator was operational in this seven-storey hotel, which occasionally resulted in delays. A couple of tips for future guests: If you're visiting during the summer, avoid the city-view rooms as they can become quite warm until late at night. Also, remember to request housekeeping through the in-room iPad before you leave for the day, as rooms are not cleaned automatically. Overall, CitizenM is a good choice for its location but those who value spacious rooms and traditional hotel amenities may find it less comfortable.
