What reviewers say

Visitors frequently praise the friendly and helpful staff, the beautiful historic building and grounds, and the tasty buffet breakfast. However, some guests note that the rooms and kitchens are a bit dated and could be warmer and more homely, and a few mention a lack of EV charging points.

We booked through 'booking.com' at short notice as we needed a room for the night. We were 'blessed' when we arrived, as we only discovered then that Hinsley Hall is a conference centre/religious retreat for Catholic priests, as they were walking past us saying hello on our way to reception, and whilst not religious ourselves, it did make for an interesting stay. The Hall was lovely, imposing, with well maintained gardens. The rooms were basic but functionable. Small tv in the room and tea/coffee was serviced from a small room down the corridor. Bathroom was clean. Pillows were ace, really comfy. Breakfast in the morning was 9/10, full English buffet service. It was hot, tasty with meaty sausages, thick bacon, fresh eggs, hash browns and all the usual suspects on offer. Decent bread for toasting. Fruit and cereals on offer, cold and hot drinks. Did not have evening meal but I believe they do offer and a bar is open for drinks, with separate coffee and tea lounges. 10/15 min walk from city centre, or Headingley is on the doorstep with plenty of restaurants and bars and shopping delights. Or take time out and enjoy the peace and quiet of Hinsley Hall. Would we stay again?...yes.
