Briggate Hotel
Many guests praise the comfortable beds and modern, clean rooms with nice showers, and some find the staff friendly and helpful. However, a significant number of visitors complain about extreme noise levels from the bar below, with music often playing until the early hours, and some rooms are described as cold and poorly maintained with issues like mould and unpleasant smells.

To start im Very happy with the hotel. I used booking.com which was a disaster but the staff on the phone and in the hotel were exceptional and very nice to deal with. The location was great and we had an amazing time in the show bar. Wasnt bothered by the music in the room and the street veiw allowed for hilarious and interesting viewing. The rooms are very nice and quirky the shower was massive. Overall this hotel is definitely one to visit. I regretfully have only one issue and that was the bed, I love the built bed frame idea however the lack of any headboard ment the pillows would fall of the end but this paled into insignificance due to the matrass which really was terrible, hard and springs popping though ( a proper temu mattress) please fix this and the rooms are perfect. Thankyou for the stay
27-07-2023 My husband book this Hotel for our 6 years wedding anniversary. Bless him looks like he books without reading all the reviews 😏. If you want to sleep in a Hotel please don't pick this one because you won't sleep at all. This Hotel stays in same road as all bars in Leeds so you will feel all your room shaking. Rooms they are quite small but cute and comfy. Our room was very clean. As a cleaner my self I wipe with baby wipe the toilet floor even behind the toilet and all corners and I was surprised wen I saw the baby wipe clean. So a big well done to all the cleaners for the hard work. In this Hotel you have to give 50£ in case is something wrong with the room they won't give you the 50£ back. All bars shuts at 4am but road works start at 7am so the noise will wake you up. Also there is nothing for you to make your coffee or tea and also no storage or space for your clothes.
Room was tiny far too hot and the window only opens a couple of inches so can't get any air. Described as boutique but was personally thought it was trashy as did my wife. Because we needed the window open we could here all the noise from outside, nightclub + trains. Would never stay hear again we actually tried to book elsewhere at 12.30am to get away from the noise and heat. DO NOT RECOMMEND
Lovely hotel, very private, ambient lighting, easy check in with the very friendly bar staff. I can sleep through the muffled club noises, bass and vibrations so wasn't an issue for me, but if you want a quiet hotel room, do not stay here 🤣, I stayed Saturday night which I assume is probably the longest and loudest night of the week. Bedding was comfortable and I really appreciated the air conditioning unit keeping the room cool. I'd brought a fan as the weather had been so hot but wasn't needed as the room temperature was perfect. Really liked the room, had a neon industrial vibe and the red and blue lights were a total vibe. The vending machine was unfortunately not working 😭 Probably didn't need that bottle of Jagermeister though 😅 overall a fun and lively stay. Will definitely return.
NOISE! The hotel is right above a nightclub. This is mentioned so fleetingly on this listing. Also nowhere does it truly tell you the extent of the noise and VIBRATION you will feel until 5am. The bed was literally broken. The divan had a hole in it. The towels were like sandpaper. I was woken up to a fight outside my window at 6am. Utter hell.
Worst sleep ever. Loud music until 5am then the trains start rattling past.
Clean and nice room for cheap but wasn’t keen on location the walls seem to not keep any noise out can hear everything and everyone. Was okay won’t stay again.
