Russia Dock Woodland is a public park built on a filled-in dock in Rotherhithe, near Surrey Quays. It has had a reputation as a gay cruising area for years. In daylight it is a normal local park with families and dog walkers, and it sits next to housing, so be discreet. Cruising itself is not a crime in England, but sex where the public can see it can lead to arrest for outraging public decency or exposure, and in a public toilet it is a specific offence. Robberies and homophobic attacks on men in London parks do happen.
