ANdAZ Liverpool Street London

Had a lovely stay here. Room didn't really have a view to speak of but made up for it in size; was one of the largest rooms we've had in an urban european hotel. It's also a great location for restaurants, public transportation, and the tower of london. The service at check-in was also incredibly friendly. Would definitely stay again.

You simply cannot beat the location, except Andaz manages to do that with cleanliness and SERVICE. A wonderful choice if you're in London city, and being right next to Liverpool station is a plus. Also, kudos for having a well-stocked gym! You wouldn't believe how many hotels screw this up but you got it right.

Had a fabulous three-night stay at the Andaz using Hyatt points. Thanks to my husband’s explorist status, we were upgraded to a king room, which had both a shower and tub, and was huge by London standards. We were very glad we opted for the Andaz. High points - service: every member of staff we interacted with was friendly and eager to help, from the waitstaff at the Eastway Brasserie at breakfast to the reception personnel. This was exemplified by how Anastasiia at the front desk handled a delay in our room being available for check in. She told us she did not want us to have to wait with our bags in the lobby for our room, so she took our bags and handed us over to a staff member at Rake’s, who got us drinks on the house. Anastasiia also let us know that she would add a morning of free breakfast to our room for the inconvenience, which was an incredibly kind gesture. A few other minor issues we had were handled with concern and responsiveness. - breakfast at the Eastway: an excellent buffet, with a number of hot options (at least one seems to change daily), plus the option to have a made-to-order egg dish or waffle. We were really impressed with the number of local touches (bagels from Beigel, a neighborhood institution; Scottish smoked salmon; etc.), as well as the quality of the healthier options. The lighter options included juice shots, smoothies, a wonderful fruit salad, muesli and yogurts galore, as well as a number of veggies and salads. We went to the buffet twice, which was unusual for us as people who generally like to try new options outside the hotel. - the room: lots of storage, an excellent bathroom, high-quality robes, a complimentary minibar with NA beverages and local crisps and biscuits. Our room had a couple of windows, one of which was a charming port hole. The decor is a bit sparse, but there were a few pieces of art here and there and an unusual lamp. We didn’t spend a great deal of time in our room, and it was perfect for our needs. - location: Liverpool Street is incredibly well served by public transportation, including a direct link to Heathrow on the Elizabeth Line. It’s also possible to walk to a number of landmarks (the Tower of London, St. Paul’s, Brick Lane). The Andaz was perfect for our needs: well located but also much quieter than Mayfair and the like. Despite our general preference for staying in new neighborhoods, we will likely return on our next London visit.

Had an amazing stay at this hotel. Beautiful corner suite, so much room and everything was so comfortable. The staff was super helpful, the location was just steps from the underground so easy to get anywhere, truly the best stay in London

Had a nice stay but they double charged me the security deposit and 14 business days later there is still no sign of a refund. I have emailed the hotel and it has been over a week with no results. Scammed me out of more money than I spent on the stay. I would not stay here. I will update this review if I am properly compensated. Edit: After 2 months of constantly emailing this hotel, I eventually got back charged both security deposits. It took hours of my day, everyday, to get this done. To the response below. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels across the world. I know what a security deposit is. Your hotel charged me $722.92 at two different points during my stay (Total of $1445.85). Your hotel staff even admitted that this was a mistake and that they would back charge one of them instantly because it was "an issue with our system". I never received either deposit back after 3 weeks and my bank was also unaware of any back charge. Then I started emailing your staff and after weeks of bad excuses and unresponsiveness, I finally received $1361.43. Which isn't the full amount and considering how much time I had to spend to get my own money back. I would still not recommend anyone stay here as I had to spend weeks resolving an issue for a hotel that I spent thousands of dollars to stay at. Dealing with this management has been the worst experience I have ever dealt with for a hotel and they continue to belittle my concerns to this day rather than be helpful.

Close to Tower Bridge and many other landmark attractions.

The hotel facilities are good but the staff is definitely a problem. We stayed there for 14 days and 1. A member of the housekeeping barged into our room in the wee hours of the morning WITHOUT KNOCKING. 2. My oyster card(London public transport card) - fully loaded, was swapped with another card(with 0 balance) FROM MY ROOM while we were away. Both of these incidents were raised with the hotel manager and no action was taken. I except better service from a five star hotel in the heart of London. South place is a much better option(have stayed there multiple times and the experience was good). Will not be staying here again.

I stayed here for business for a week. Comparing with my colleagues staying in the same hotel, there seems to be a large discrepancy between rooms. Some are modern and bright with floor to ceiling windows. My room was dark, with a scuffed floor, no decor on the walls, a tiny cruise ship porthole window, a very noisy shower, and a worn carpet. It was a fine hotel room, but for the significant price of $500+ per night there are much nicer hotel rooms in the area. That being said, common areas, gym, and ballroom were nice spaces.

We were very satisfied with this hotel. The outstanding service in all areas of the hotel was particularly noteworthy. Many thanks again to Ali for the wonderful surprise on my wife's 60th birthday. We would love to come back!
