About this place Clone Zone Soho

Clonezone opened on Old Compton Street in 1982 and hasn't left it since.

The original shop at number 64 closed in 2013. Now at number 35, the current store is bigger, with more of everything it's known for: queer clothing, underwear from international circuit brands, harnesses, leather goods, sex toys, lubricants, and a pride section that expands around June.

The store stays open late, especially Thursday through Saturday, when it closes at 11pm. Handy if you're finishing dinner or a drink in Soho and need to get kitted out for the night. Sunday hours start at noon.

It's the straightforwardly commercial side of Old Compton Street: no pretension, good stock, and the kind of shop that works just as well for a first-timer as it does for a regular.

Popped in to stock up, guy at the till downstairs was borderline rude and not helpful at all when asking for an opinion. Switching to Prowler across the street!

Just right now! 02.04.2026 15:30 pm I got an extremely rude service from a white shop assistant guy! He even tried to short me with 25% , around 20£ when he not added the 25% discount into my purchase! Absolutely not recommended!

Decent products, especially clothing (socks, hats, etc), but the staffs attitude isn’t quite ideal (in particular the American chap). Maybe just stick to online orders to save yourself the experience while still enjoying the products.
