via Stay22About this place The Goose
The Goose, on Bloom Street, is a good spot to start or end a night out on Manchester's famous Canal Street. It's a pub, not a club, which means it’s a lot less frantic than most places around here.
They recently redid the inside. It still feels like a pub, just a bit sharper. You'll find cheap drinks and standard pub grub—nothing to write home about, but it’s there if you’re hungry.
It’s gay-friendly, like most of the spots in this part of town. But unlike the clubs, you can actually hear yourself think, and talk to people, which is a nice change of pace.
Essentially, The Goose is a reliable, no-frills option if you want to hang out in Manchester's gay quarter without the full-on clubbing experience. Check their website for event listings.

The staff are super friendly, the atmosphere fantastic and they put on one hell of a show. My friends and I love the drag show. Will definitely be returning
Came for the pub quiz, they didn't have a table reserved for us even though we made a booking so they made room for us under the TV but it wasn't ideal. Pub quiz was very busy and a good atmosphere.
Went there for karaoke with my friends. Great place and great atmosphere 🙂
the queen performing were absolutely incredible, but unfortunately the place had extremely unwelcoming staff, insane prices and an owner with an ego bigger than kanye west’s. Not awful if you catch the guy when he’s not in a foul mood, but anywhere else in the village is better, I wouldn’t take the chance on it.
