Abode Manchester: a stylish boutique hotel in a prime spot for getting to know the city center.
You can walk to Piccadilly train station in five minutes from Abode Manchester. Or to the shops on Market Street in even less. It’s a good spot for LGBTQ+ travelers visiting the city, especially, and the building itself is interesting: a converted Victorian warehouse, all exposed brick and high ceilings, but with modern touches.
Rooms and suites have parquet flooring, flat-screen TVs, DVD players, and free WiFi. There’s tea and coffee in every room. If you want more space, or a snack box, get an upgraded suite—they come with sitting areas.
The hotel has an à la carte restaurant, so you don’t have to go far for a decent meal. But the city center location means you’re right by Manchester’s LGBTQ+ scene, so you probably will. It’s a well-equipped base, whether you’re there for work or fun, with easy access to transport and everything else.

Omar on reception was a gent looked after us with are bags and check in
Booked a twin room for my friend birthday weekend and when we arrived and were given the room key the room already had someone's belongings in. We popped down to reception to explain what happend, they took us to the bar while they sorted out another room for a free cocktail. After around 10 minutes they came back down with a new room key to an upgraded suite (Frink Suite)! Exceptional service, beautiful suite and topped off the birthday weekend! Slept like a log, bathroom was stunning, room shows a bit of age with some paint peeling in some corners (very old building, to be fair) but had a wonderful time and very sound sleep! Will be back again when visiting Manchester.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it. The hotel is located in the city center, which made it very convenient for exploring the area. The train station is only a 3-minute walk away, making it easy to travel and get around. The reception staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, especially Omar, who was always smiling, helpful, and professional. His kindness made our stay even more enjoyable. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious, with a good variety of options to choose from each morning. Overall, we had a very pleasant and enjoyable trip, and the hotel exceeded our expectations. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
The hotel is partially renovated but still retains retro details, spacious rooms, à la carte breakfast, and an excellent location.
