Delicious food, excellent service and great atmosphere eating in the outside area. We had the sea bass, chicken souvlaki mezze, beans with feta, and Greek salad between two which was more than enough. delicious coffee as well, will definitely return.

We shared the veggie platter for £52 (between two people), it was delicious and we got so much food! The vegetable tagine and falafels were our favourites, we will definitely return :) also great service and attentive staff

I have visited here a few times and the food is always amazing. Quick and friendly service - plates actually come out within minutes of each other. The dips to start tasted very fresh and flavoursome, I then also had the spanakoptica, garlic mushrooms (just ok), whitebait, Greek salad. All those plates, plus 3 dips, 1 wine came to £60. Left very full.

On Saturday evening, we went to Dimitri’s for a good old nostalgic meal — and honestly, this place still has my heart. I’ve been coming here for over 15 years, and there’s something about Dimitri’s that just feels comforting. The atmosphere, the Greek authenticity, the warm lighting, the staff who somehow always make you feel like you’ve been coming there since birth — it’s one of those Manchester institutions that genuinely earns its reputation. The food has always been fantastic, and this visit was no different. We had a mezze-style spread with ribs, souvlaki chicken, chorizo and all the usual dipping-and-picking goodness, paired with a house wine recommendation that completely caught us off guard in the best way possible. Honestly, that wine was outstanding. We’ve had expensive bottles in places trying far harder to impress, and somehow Dimitri’s humble house wine quietly walked in and won the evening. Now… I do have to be honest. My loyalties — and my heartbreak — will always live with what Dimitri’s used to be. Back in the day, the mezze platters arrived like some sort of Greek feast assembled by people who genuinely feared you might leave hungry. No neat little bowls. No carefully spaced-out plating. Just an enormous mountain of calorific joy stacked across the table. You’d dive in, swap bits around, steal someone else’s favourite item, discover sauces hidden underneath grilled meats like culinary archaeology… it was chaos, and it was glorious. Nowadays, things are more structured. More refined. More separated. You can see the realities of the cost of living and modern restaurant economics written all over it. Portions are more controlled, presentation is tidier, and whilst I completely understand why, a small selfish part of me will always miss the old Dimitri’s excess. But importantly — it still works. That’s the thing. Even though it isn’t what it once was, the experience is still genuinely enjoyable. The staff remain lovely and attentive, the food is still full of flavour, and there’s still a warmth to the place that so many modern restaurants completely fail to capture whilst busy serving tiny portions on slate tiles. Dimitri’s feels lived in. Familiar. Human. It’s one of those rare places where even the nostalgia tastes good. So yes, maybe it’s changed. But honestly? Haven’t we all. Still a brilliant shout for anyone wanting proper Greek mezze with a relaxed atmosphere and genuinely kind service. Manchester would be worse off without it.

We went to Dimitris 17th of May 2026 for our daughter 28th birthday. There was 10 people. The table was booked for 5 o clock. The meal cost £283.25. We all shared the cost and really enjoyed the food and joy, laughter between family. However after 2 hours we were given a time to finish off and go then reminded again. This we found unfair. Your managers should inform customers of the time rules. Because this is unfair..
