About this place Yang Sing

Yang Sing, on Princess Street, is one of Manchester's best-known restaurants, serving Cantonese food in the city center. It's a fine choice for LGBTQ+ diners looking for a good meal and a good time.

The restaurant made its name on exceptional dim sum, with authentic Cantonese flavors and serious kitchen work. Don't let the white tablecloths fool you; the place is comfortable and the staff knows how to put together a menu that works for your budget and any dietary needs. They make a point of making everyone feel looked after.

Manchester has a strong gay dining scene, but Yang Sing has been around forever, and its quality shows. Expect professional service, a refined atmosphere, and the kind of cooking that makes a night out feel special, not stuffy.

An amazing restaurant also for vegetarian ❤️ A lot of options available for vegetarian and vegan people who love asian food like us. Advice, order just a side rice and vegetables if you order just protein like the chicken plates because maybe it's too much then 😅 The plates are big and delicious 🤤 The waiters were always kind and friendly, and it's a clean place.

I visited LYS en route for my home in France.UnfortunatelyI realised there had been a mistake with my timings..I was jumping time zones, so had to leave very quickly. I would like to thank the staff for quickly creating a takeaway for me and a very big thanks to the young man who showed me the way to the rail station. Thank you very much...I caught my connection, just, and made it to Paris! Excellent spicy soup!

Great food with fast service. Lots of vegetarian options which was great. Highly recommend the mock chicken dishes. Will be coming again!

I visited this restaurant late in the evening as it was one of the few places still open after 9pm. The food was genuinely great, and both the waiter and waitress were very friendly, attentive, and quick with service — they made a positive impression. However, my experience was negatively affected by how a seating request was handled. We asked a staff member named Warren (an older, short man) if it would be possible to change tables as we were sitting opposite the main entrance and it was quite cold. Instead of responding calmly, he appeared to lose patience and raised his voice at me in front of other customers, saying he would let us know when something became available. This reaction felt unnecessary and unprofessional, especially for a simple request. It’s a shame, because aside from that interaction, the overall experience — particularly the food and other staff — was very good. Unfortunately, this incident left a negative impression.
