DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield City

Upon arrival we were greeted by welcoming and respectful staff. Alvaro who greeted us was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was a good size for the two of us and had everything we needed including spare towels and kettle etc. Would definitely be a returning customer

Have had a really pleasant stay whilst working in Sheffield, the staff have been fantastic, very friendly!

Not sure how long this has been open, but it feels somewhat new. The room was generally very nice, the mattresses comfortable and the bathroom clean and modern. Unlike the DoubleTree in Milton Keynes, this wasn't built into the stadium, but along side, meaning no pitch views (if that's what you're after). I found the pillows big but offered no support, just crumpled to nothing when my head hit. The shower control was broken, but these were the only downsides. The restaurant was nice. They did try to charge extra for the fries, which was printed as coming with the burger (corrected once we showed the menu) and they overstated how much dining credit remained when trying to get us to have dessert. Still, minor quibbles and the waiter may have been new. The staff in general were extremely helpful, polite and professional. I can't comment on the location, because it's entirely dependent on where you need to be and what you want to do. It's about a 15m walk to the centre of the city. Parking is quite steep, but Google doesn't like specific prices being shown.

Stayed here a few times. Friendly staff and the gym is now open.

Convenient, with helpful staff, and great rooms. If I had to complain about anything it is that the customer service numbers are in America, but there service is so good I doubt you'll need them.

Room is amazing. Massive shower head in the bathroom (water could be slightly hotter) Mattress os a bit too form for me. Staff are lovely and helpful. 10 min walk away from the train station. Or a 2min taxi ride for just under a tenner.

Was visiting the area and stayed the night, room £74 and very presentable. Plenty of parking but chargeable, £10 overnight. Bar was very good, restaurant was excellent

VFM = Not at all, £155.00 special room rate for guest using local club facilities, breakfast £15 pp extra..... And a 24hr room service that stops at 10pm !!!! The night porter was nice but saying "sorry BUD" all the time was a bit patronising, room ok, breakfast standard, £185 for 2 pn and £15 parking........ never again Hilton.....
