NO FOOD ALLOWED IN ROOM!!! I stay in hotels every week for work and in over 18 years and countless hotel stays, this is the first hotel I have ever witnessed enforce this policy. This was only communicated to me as I was walking back into the hotel with a shopping bag with food inside. The staff member made me eat it outside. This is absolutely disgraceful!!! Other than the above… Nice hotel, rooms are large but have no aircon. On a summers day it was 27c inside my room and was unable to sleep.

The experience was extremely disappointing. Because the hotel is a conversion of an old building, the top floor becomes unbearably hot. The room temperature was simply not suitable for staying in. Although a fan was provided, it only circulated hot air and offered no real relief. The windows could only be opened slightly, and the bathroom was also very cramped. Paying over £100 for what essentially felt like a night in a sauna was a terrible experience. I could barely sleep throughout the night. After only about two hours of sleep, I woke up overheated and drenched in sweat, feeling as though I had just stepped out of a swimming pool. It was incredibly uncomfortable.
