About this place Pride Hub Egham

Pride Hub is the LGBTQ+ community hub for the Staines, Egham and wider Surrey area. It sits on the High Street precinct in Egham, a short walk from Egham station and about two miles from Staines-upon-Thames. Opened in November 2024 by the charity Pride in Surrey, it combines a daytime café — coffee, tea and cake — with an LGBTQ+ gift and book shop and a calendar of evening social groups, workshops and community events. It is run as a volunteer-led safe space rather than a nightlife bar, and is the only dedicated LGBTQ+ venue in the immediate Staines area. The café is generally open Wednesday to Sunday; check Pride in Surrey's channels for current opening hours and the events programme.

Great atmosphere, an asset to the area. Crisps on demand at the tables.

I’ve managed to pick all the wrong times during the day (Saturday’s mostly) to pop in here and have a coffee and a bite to eat. It has always been so quiet. Unfortunately, given the size of the existing kitchen and the available equipment, I don’t see much changing about the menu offering anytime soon, which is a real shame. I think if they offered a bigger menu with more savoury bites, etc., it might increase the patronage during the day. I guess that has to be a business decision. I would see it as a worthwhile one though. These sorts of places are few and far between but there are a few examples around the country where a good menu offering can increase the customer base exponentially.

I’ve been a few times to the Pride Hub’s monthly social for Trans & Non-Binary people & it’s a really welcoming & friendly place with great service & some great conversations. The location on Egham High street is really convenient with choice of car parking nearby.
