Travelodge Staines
Some visitors praise the hotel's excellent location and highlight specific staff members like Naseem and Binod for their friendly and helpful service, with some finding the rooms clean and well-maintained. However, a significant complaint concerns the poor condition of the carpets, described as soiled and caked in muck, and the lack of air conditioning in rooms.

The floors are carpet and caked in muck it's really bad. Otherwise it's okay, but honestly I wouldn't recommend.
Honestly I think 1 star is being generous….no where on the website does this say that it’s a budget travelodge. I’ve stayed in the travelodge before and it’s never been this basic. It’s 34° and there’s no Aircon? A hotel without aircon is actually ridiculous. Even if it was one that worked both ways to be more suitable for the UK weather. And all they could offer me is a pesky little fan…..which I have to place on the other side of the room because there’s no actual plug sockets next to the bed. So what’s the point in a fan being on if you can’t feel it. I’ve paid £105 for this room for one night. And if I hadn’t of been desperate for a place to stay, it wouldn’t have been here. The gentleman behind the desk laughed in my face when I asked about the aircon; like it’s a funny matter. It was rude: a simple no could have sufficed. The room is dated even though it says it’s a new style. Having USB outputs doesn’t make it modern. I went to have a cold shower to cool down in this sauna of a room and much to my surprise (not) the cold water tap was boiling hot….the best thing about this hotel maybe the location; and the door out. I can see Nando’s from my room; the centre is 5mins walk away. I paid for a late check out; but I’ll be surprised if I even make it until then!
Rooms are tired. Soiled carpets
Appalling customer service. I feel sorry for the staff at the front desk who are completely at the whim of the faceless online booking system and a “central reservation phone number” that is never answered. Simple accommodation issues become major hassles. Travelodge have lost the plot!
This is a great little travelodge to stay, in my opinion. The rooms are are very clean and tidy, the bathroom is excellent in terms of cleanliness, and tea and coffee can be supplied, to your heart's content. There isn't a cafe on the premises, so you have to source a traditional breakfast in the local area, but you are right bang in the centre of Staines upon Thames, so there are a number of local eateries, plus you can have food delivered to the hotel. The staff are very polite and helpful, and you are made to feel very welcome. A tremendous plus in my view, is there is a bar next door to the hotel called Thames brewery, which at certain times of the week has live bands and good food to entertain you. The noise levels are well measured by the bar, so that none of the occupent's residing in the travelodge are disturbed by loud noise. I have stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions and have never been disturbed. It's worth checking the opening hours of Thames brewery, as it times vary. From Wednesday to Sunday tends to be it's main focus. If you are visiting Staines and staying for a number of day's, this hotel is in an ideal location, and I highly recommend it.
Hotel was total scratch & sniff
