I was surprised at the Runnymede in February for an afternoon tea and I was so taken back and impressed. Everything was perfect. The ambience, the service, the staff, the choice of vegetarian sandwiches, the desserts, everything was so memorable. Today I treated my friend for her 50th and what a disappointment. The service was terrible, the vegetarian sandwiches were average and not many. The desserts and scones were OK. The staff were not friendly at all. I am so disappointed. I was so looking forward since February but was really let down. Please up your game Runnymede

Staff do not answer the telephone lines, called over 20 times regarding my booking, staff are rude. Room was dirty. Since Warner brothers have taken over, absolutely ridiculous prices and poor service. Do not recommend.

Had a splendid week, throughly enjoyed our time here. Staff were friendly and apologetic when a couple of activities were cancelled due to staff illness, however, alternative arrangements were made which we were very pleased with. A special thank you to Luke who looked after us, and was a great host during the cocktail master class. Food and entertainment were good, and as it an easy journey to travel to for us we would definitely come back here again.

Large hotel with great riverside prescence, a number of areas to sit and eat, unfortunately during our visit not much food was available and the tuna melt i had was awful. Shame the food doesn't live up to the setting
